The utopia of (used) clothing collections

Who isn't familiar with them: the bags of used clothing we regularly receive in our mailboxes? But what actually happens to the clothes we put in them? What about sustainability, and above all: what should and shouldn't we put in the used clothing bags? Let's put it this way: we don't agree with the various organizations that collect around 50,000 tons of textiles annually across Switzerland. Why? Well, we believe that clean, still wearable clothes of all kinds – including leather clothing – shouldn't end up in the used clothing bags, especially not if they belong to the 40% that have been worn a maximum of two times or even never!
